ELYSS MCCLEARY ACQUIRED BY THE WHITEHORSE ART COLLECTION

Elyss McCleary’s painting ‘Glitz and Shine’ has been acquired by the Whitehorse Art Collection.

The Whitehorse Art Collection was established by the former City of Box Hill in 1927 and was developed from a core of artworks created by artists who attended the famous Box Hill Artists’ Camp in the 1880s, including Frederick McCubbin, Tom Roberts and Arthur Streeton. The collection has developed with the acquisition of contemporary landscapes, the urban and suburban landscape, and ceramics. The Whitehorse Art Collection is now housed in Whitehorse Artspace and contains almost 2000 significant artworks.
